Flying with Avia Traffic Company can be safe and comfortable when following rules and recommendations. Make sure your flight is coordinated and prepared with all requirements in mind.
Transportation Restrictions
- Pregnant women past 32 weeks of pregnancy are not accepted for travel.
- Transportation is prohibited within 7 days before and 7 days after childbirth.
- Newborns are accepted for transportation only over 7 days old and accompanied by an adult passenger.
Coordination Requirement
When booking tickets and checking in, travel arrangements for pregnant women, postpartum women, or newborns must be coordinated with the airline. The decision to fly is made by the passenger based on their doctor's advice.
Transportation Documents
Depending on pregnancy term and passenger condition, the following documents may be required:
- Up to 20 weeks: statement releasing the airline from liability (filled out by passenger).
- From 20 to 32 weeks: statement and pregnancy certificate from medical institution indicating term, pregnancy type, nature and absence of pathologies.
- Newborns: birth certificate or maternity hospital certificate.
Prohibited Cases
Transportation is not allowed if:
- The pregnant woman or newborn has a medical condition that precludes safe air travel.
- The passenger is unable to move quickly (e.g., in the event of an emergency evacuation).
- The passenger is seated near an emergency exit or emergency rescue equipment.
Recommendations for Pregnant Women
Before the flight we recommend:
- Consult with a doctor and consider their recommendations.
- Pack all necessary items in your carry-on for a comfortable flight.
- Arrive at the airport in advance to avoid rush and stress.
