Free carriage of sports equipment

Avia Traffic airline supports sport and a healthy lifestyle — that is why sports equipment can be carried free of charge on its flights. Below are the carriage conditions.

How it works

One set of sports equipment weighing up to 20 kg is carried free of charge — on top of your ticket's free baggage allowance and at no extra cost.

What you can carry for free

Accepted when packed:

Skis
Snowboards
Bicycles (incl. mountain)
Climbing gear

The allowance is calculated as one set per passenger.

Example

If your ticket's free baggage allowance is 15 kg, you can take:

5 кг cabin baggage
15 кг checked baggage (free allowance)
20 кг sports equipment (promo)

Bicycle carriage rules

Bicycles, including mountain bikes, are accepted for carriage only with the handlebars and pedals removed. The bicycle must be packed in a cardboard box or a soft case.

Climbing gear

A set of climbing gear must not contain items or substances prohibited for air transport:

  • Compressed and liquefied gases
  • Flammable liquids
  • Flammable solids
  • Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
  • Toxic substances

Extra payment

If one set of sports equipment exceeds 20 kg, or for a second set, payment is made under the excess-baggage rules.

Oversized items are accepted for carriage only by prior agreement with the airline representative office.
