Manas Airport to Bishkek: bus or taxi?

You can travel from Manas Airport to Bishkek by bus 153, official airport taxi or a pre-booked car. Choose according to your arrival time, address and luggage. Confirm transport in advance for a late arrival: a daytime bus route does not mean there is a service for every overnight flight.

Compare the cost of the whole journey, not just its first leg. The city bus stop may be some distance from your accommodation. A family should also compare the car fare divided between passengers.
Before leaving the terminal
Save your full accommodation address, a map location and your contact’s phone number. Keep an offline copy of the address: you may need it before you have an internet connection. Confirm that your chosen transport accepts the payment method you intend to use.

Bus 153: route and payment
Tulpar identifies 153 as the Airport–Bishkek express route and explains payment by vehicle code in its app: enter the code displayed in the bus, pay and keep the electronic receipt. The instructions are on Tulpar’s website.
Before boarding, check the bus number and direction, current fare and the stop you need. Find the boarding point using airport signs or ask at the information desk. For an overnight arrival, confirm the last departure separately. Do not rely on cash or a foreign bank card without checking the available payment methods.
Official taxis and arranged pickups
The airport’s taxi page describes this process: visit the booking desk in the arrivals area, specify your route and obtain a receipt with the agreed price, then go to the official taxi parking area. The airport lists the service as operating around the clock. Current contact details and advance booking are available on Manas Taxi’s website.
Provide the exact address, passenger count, luggage and child-seat requirements before the journey. Confirm the final total, payment, included waiting time and what happens if your flight is delayed. If you use another operator, agree on its pickup point separately; it may differ from the official taxi parking area.
A short pickup message: “Flight ___, date ___, local arrival time ___. We are ___ passengers with ___ luggage. Is there an additional waiting charge? Where do we meet, and how do we contact you after landing?”
If your flight arrives late
Tell the driver or the person meeting you about the updated flight status. After landing you still need to complete formalities and collect baggage, so do not arrange to be beside the car at touchdown time. If your connection is not working, ask the airport information desk about available transport options.
